To help promote the message of environmental change Kiss The Planet teamed up with Sam Branson to follow his trip to the Arctic Circle. The main goals of Sam’s trip were to chart the landscape of the coastal areas of Ellesmere Island and inspire younger generations to get educated and be proactive on the issue of global warming. Sam is a passionate leader in exposing the problems that his generation (as well as the rest of us) face due to climate change. The Kiss the Planet expedition to the Arctic Circle aimed to highlight these problems.
The Kiss The Planet campaign was supported on air, with a particular focus on Kiss’ flagship breakfast show with Rickie and Melvin, and Clicked were asked to produce a website to support the campaign online.
We kicked off the project by creating an online ‘Kiss The Planet’ brand. Once this was established, we used the style to create a vibrantly designed multi-purpose website that pushed the Kiss the Planet messaging. The site acts as the place for people to visit to follow Sam’s expedition to the Arctic Circle with a gallery, a blog containing pictorial, written, audio and video content, as well as a forum to ask Sam questions about global warming and his Arctic trip. Users are also able to submit their pictures of how they are helping to combat climate change in their homes and work places.
