In conjunction with their high profile sponsorship of The X Factor, The Carphone Warehouse commissioned Clicked Creative to design and produce a website to help generate excitement around this year’s X Factor live finals. Every week throughout the finals, the site hosted an online competition where users had to ‘champion’ their chosen finalist. The idea was that users took part in an activity in order to become a ‘champion’ and win great X Factor prizes such as tickets to the sound check, the live tour and loads of Carphone goodies. As the X Factor finalists were eliminated and the competition entries were chosen, the site content had to be updated frequently. It was therefore important to create a site that was simple to update as well as engaging to user.
