The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors was looking for a new website with upgraded information architecture and design in order to cater for the broad range of users that visit the RICS site. RICS offer the very best advice on diverse range of land, property, construction and related environmental issues as well as helping to establish, maintain and regulate standards and provide impartial advice to governments and policy-makers.

Due to the nature of RICS’ business, Clicked were faced with the challenge of taking a huge amount of unstructured data and consolidating and organising it into a readily accessible format.

We began by evaluating the existing site, streamlining the complex taxonomy and completely revising the information architecture. We then produced a comprehensive series of wireframes and established a series of core templates that made up the basic structure of the new site. The templates were designed with a focus on reinforcing the RICS brand and aiding the user journey. We also produced the CSS & HTML for templates and worked with RICS in-house developers to integrate the templates with the existing RICS CMS.
