The playlist has always been an important online property for Kiss – it’s the destination for listeners to find out more about new tracks that are being played on air. Clicked were asked to redesign the playlist and bring it more into line with the new online look and feel that we’ve been developing for Kiss over the past year. We identified several main goals; improving playlist functionality, increasing user interaction, streamlining navigation and continuing to develop the fresh brand look.
The new playlist is a marked improvement on the original, allowing users to search for tracks quickly and easily, login and rate the tunes, leave comments, view the archives and watch videos for every track. User feedback from the Playlist is the basis for the Kiss countdown of the 40 freshest tracks on the new Kiss on-air chart show, ‘The Playlist’.
